What is Justice Connect Answers?

Justice Connect Answers is our free online legal clinic where people can ask simple legal questions and receive answers from pro bono lawyers.

Many people experience everyday legal problems but cannot afford a lawyer or do not know where to start. Justice Connect Answers helps close this gap by connecting people with lawyers who can provide clear legal information online.

The service focuses on straightforward legal questions that can be answered remotely, helping people understand their rights and possible next steps.

Expanding access to legal help

Justice Connect Answers helps people who may face barriers accessing traditional legal services, including people living in regional areas or those who need flexible, online support.

The platform also allows lawyers to volunteer their expertise in a simple and flexible way, helping more people access legal information when they need it.

By combining technology with pro bono expertise, Justice Connect Answers helps improve access to justice across Australia.

How it works

Sometimes the biggest difference comes from a small but timely answer to a question. Justice Connect Answers focuses on short, practical assistance that can make a real difference early in a legal problem.

People submit a question through the online platform and provide some basic information about their situation.

Lawyers from our pro bono member firms review questions and provide written legal advice through the secure platform. Users can log in to read the advice and ask follow-up questions if needed.

The service helps people:

  • understand their legal rights and options
  • get guidance on simple legal issues
  • take practical next steps to resolve a problem
