In February 2026, Justice Connect provided our views to the Australian Government Treasury on the on the Treasury Laws Amendment (Business Registries Stabilisation and Uplift) Bill 2025.

Our submission focuses on the impact of the draft legislation on not-for-profit organisations and organisations registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission.

In particular, we provide four recommendations for reform to create a fairer and more consistent framework for charitable giving in Australia.
