Resources for community lawyers on the disaster frontline across Australia.
When disasters occur, we know that existing legal problems are exacerbated, and new legal needs emerge. People impacted by disaster are often dealing with multiple legal problems. Unresolved legal problems can affect people’s health, financial stability, and relationships. In these times of crisis, people need to be able to access legal help as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
These resources have been designed to help community legal workers find high-quality legal information quickly, and take steps to resolve their clients’ legal problems and refer their clients for pro bono legal support before their problems escalate.
The Disaster Legal Support Resource Hub is designed to be responsive to your legal assistance organisation’s needs, both now and as they change. You can complete this survey to let us know what resources we should develop and how we can improve.
This hub contains downloadable resources, including posters, flyers, and legal-information resources that you can share with your communities, as well as links to other organisations’ disaster-related resources.

We have a range of resources specifically for community workers supporting individuals, small businesses, and primary producers affected by disaster.
We invite CLCs across NSW and Victoria to use our award-winning Pro Bono Portal to connect with pro bono firms and to quickly and easily place matters with pro bono firms. You can use the Portal to refer people looking for legal help to law firms with expertise and capacity, as well as to find extra support from firms to assist with your CLC’s projects.
