Our user research taught us that Justice Connect’s services can be difficult to understand.
As an organisation with many programs across different states and territories, our sector colleagues are not always sure who we can and cannot assist.
We ran a range of workshops with organisations well-placed to identify people and organisations and direct them to Justice Connect from health and housing organisations, including 22 community legal centres.
When referrers make use of this tool, the outcome is a more streamlined referral for both the referrer and the person seeking help. Generally, we are able to make an eligibility assessment quickly, and move on to obtaining instructions from the individual or community organisation we are assisting.
The Referrer Tool has been a critical tool connecting Justice Connect with frontline organisations in relation to disasters. We can receive requests from frontline workers to provide assistance and can take actions quicky and easily.
